I have been lurking on both titan talk and here for the past few days and decided to join. I'm looking at getting a titan or armada around tax time. We like the idea of staying in the SUV family but away from chevy. The titan on the other hand has more aftermarket suspension parts. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know what the "AUTO DRPO" fuse is for in the passenger side fuse panel next to the glove box? I do not have a fuse in that spot and was wondering if it was supposed to have one.

QX56 aftermarket Viper 5901 Remote Start DIY
After countless hours of researching on wiring diagram and understanding how the Nissan ignition system works, it was scarce to find any information on our model QX and Armada. The wiring colors were off, there were no explanations on the 2 ignition wires that we had nor why it even has 2 starter wires. The flex relay was confusing even though I have experience with normal bosch type relay. Flex relay is just an internal relay, that's all.
The Viper 5901 is a intricate piece of equipment with a horrible manual. I have researched for days when I had time in-between classes, work, and my family. At first, I couldn't comprehend some of the descriptions in the manual because it was vague and ambiguous.
I have the full service manual and did all most of my research from it so I took the liberty of my research to give it to you and hopefully this will help some of you in the future that want to attempt to proceed with a project like this.
For your record, this installation is for the Viper 5901. I am not responsible for any mishaps you may have during the following of my work. I am ASE certified in Electrical. I am pretty sure that other DEI remote starter are similar for this installation. It should work for 2004-2006 without intelligent key/turn knob.
FYI
Flex Relay= Internal relay built into the brain
IG1 and IG2= one wire provides 12v to fan blower, window circuitry, rear defroster, radio, and other. The other provides power to fuel pump, ignition coils, ecu, and anything other components of the engine. This keeps power interference to a minimum and keeps away frying wires. In the diagram, you will need to use the flex relay.
Starter wire 2= This is for the reason of anything that needs power while starter is engaged so you don't lose power. For example if you did not hook up this wire, when you turn your keys to start and your seat and steering column is still moving, it will stop at whatever position once you turn to start. It maintains the power to your memory when you turn your keys to start the car. In the diagram, you will need a bosch type relay to engage the starter 2 wire.
I originally bought a Xpresskit XK02 to use as the immobilizer for my vehicle, but realized that it was not an immobilizer. It was just a factory/aftermark alarm controller. I have purchased the Xpresskit DLPK which does not require a key or key ring for our models and should keep the engine running. I will update when I get this part running.
If you find that the colors are different, use the pin instead because the pin location should still be the same. I know I still need to touch up on making my chart prettier, but this is the best I have for you.
Let me know if I should change some if you should find it wrong or confusing.

armada needing new front shocks
Hello fellow CA.
i am getting ready to replace a defective leaky rancho front shock on my armada. it is the Quick Lift version that gives me a 1.75" lift. I like this and 2" is pretty much what i want. not higher. i do not have any other spacers or lift kits installed except for this rancho quick lifts. 1 of them is leaking and the other the adjustment knob broke. i dont want to deal with the warranty replacement, i just want to go get Bilsteins.
so should i just get the HD or 5100. i want that additional lift that i got from the rancho. will the 5100 (24-197649 F4-BE5-D185-H0 Bilstein 5100) work OR should i just get the HD (24-197656 F4-BE5-B623-H0) but will loose the 2 inch lift
what are my options? thanks in advance :)

Another Key Fog Programming Question?
Hello all,
First time posting here since I'm now an Armada owner. We love it, so far!
I'll spare you the long boring details. Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but I need to order another key fob via Ebay. Can I program it myself using the standard reprogramming procedure or is this a dealer only thing?
I only ask because everything I've read on CA says it's programmable. Everything else I read on the interweb says it's a dealer only thing.
Someone please help set me straight!!! Can I reprogram this particular key on an '08 LE myself?....
![]()
I should elaborate a little more perhaps. I need a fob and a key. Do both need to be programmed? Can they both be done via the standard procedure or should I just pay $152 at the dealer to do it all?
I'm looking at a brand new fob & uncut key on Ebay for $79.
Thanks for the help.

Here from TitanTalk!
Hey everyone!
I've been an active member on TitanTalk (also as Stilltime) for almost a year (when I bought my Titan). My days are spent working in Pro/E on anything and everything, and when I go home I do the same!
I recently designed, had prototyped, and had produced a custom CNC sway bar mount kit that will replace the stock components. This kit will also bolt onto the Armada, Xterra, Frontier and Pathfinder so I'm going to see if there is any interest with you guys!
Keep an eye out in the suspension section :) I love helping out the Titan community, and it would be awesome if I could bring more new parts to the table across five different Nissan platforms!! Here's my 2010 Titan:

CNC 6061 Sway Bar Mounts + Polyurethane Busings
Hey everyone,
Quick background - I came here from TitanTalk to offer a new product if there is interest on the forum! I have been a member there nearly a year and a half, as long as I've had my Titan. When upgrading the sway bar on the Titan, there are NO feasible options for upgrading the sway bar bushings to polyurethane. So what did I do? Found the BEST greasable polyurethane bushings I could find, and designed a custom sway bar mounting bracket around them to bolt onto our chassis.
For the entire process of my design and production ventures on this project, you can read through it on TitanTalk here: http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tita...ing-mount.html
These brackets will allow you to remove the stock stamped steel front sway bar brackets, and flimsy rubber bushings and replace them both with a solid billet aluminum, custom CNC machined sway bar bracket. I have sourced both 34mm and 35mm greasable polyurethane bushings to fit in the bracket, with the OEM sway bar being 34mm. These will help to keep body roll under control, especially if an aftermarket sway bar is an option.
These will fit:
2004-2012 Titans and Armadas
2005-2012 Frontiers, Xterras and Pathfinders
For the TitanTalk community, I produced 13 sets of these and every one of them has sold. I am approaching you guys (and gals) to see if there is any interest, because I am planning on producing a second batch of these for the Titan forum.
I was able to test fit these on my Titan, and everything fits perfect, and looks, feels and will perform much better than the stock components. I dropped off all of the first batch to get clear powdercoated today, and will be shipping them out by this weekend.
Enough jabbering...I'll let the pictures do the talking!

This is the lube I will be using, it's called Green Grease and is highly regarded for sway bar bushings, I would also recommend Super Lube. Green Grease is about $9, I picked it up at Napa. Super Lube is around $15.

Rhino Lining roof rack area? Anyone done it?
I was just wondering if anyone Rhino lined the rack area on the roof? Basically my Armada which I love was the compromise between the wife and I and getting a CC Titan. I wanted 4x4 and and she wanted to haul the scores of nieces and nephews we have around , as well as our dogs, son, and whatever else. I love the Armada though , I love being the biggest thing out there and for the most part I have no complaints other than sometimes I have to strap furniture, wood , luggage to the top and the top is getting tore up a little bit. Do you guys think this is a viable mod , or do you think it would absorb too much heat from the sun and make the cabin unbearable ? Thanks for any input guys.

2013 pathfinder or 10 armada Help?
Last time I posted something was last year, I was debating on whether to get an older Armada but things never went through. Anyways now I def. need to get rid of my old minivan.
I need your guys input or opinion about whether to get the new 2013 pathfinder or a 2010 Armada with 112,000km on it. I do have 4 kids.... It comes to which is a better fit for us, because I see myself crying over the mpg in the Armada comparing to the new pathfinder (they claim its around 20mpg) but with the armada is 14mpg and also costs more to fill up.
With the Armada that means I will be servicing it more than but I again I dont know what I will be looking forward from the 112k comparing to a new car.
Price is cheaper with the armada its like $15k less, and the options on the Armada is fully loaded platinum comparing to the SL for the pathfinder.
Any help will be greatly appreciated since I dont have any friends or coworkers that own nissan.....
