Hey all....I've searched and found similar...but not exactly the same type of issues with the heater on this vehicle....I'm going to be as descriptive as possible so bear with me....
I bought my 06' QX56 in early September and it was still warm here in Ohio...a couple weeks later I noticed when it got a little chilly and needed early morning heat I only got cold air on every setting I tried.....But after awhile when it actually got cold out I had heat all winter no problems...
Now shoot forward to spring with this goofy Ohio (MidWest) weather we've gone from hot to cold hot to cold...well yesterday it was a little rainy and chilly and I noticed it was blowing cold air again....I took it to a local shop that changed my oil for free since I bought tires from them a week earlier and assumed if they were topping off fluids maybe there was an issue with air pockets in the lines...I've checked all the hoses on the radiator....hot....hot hot....I took it back and they couldn't figure it out....But here's the catch...
I reached under neath the glove box and gave it a few "Love Taps" and it started spouting out luke warm air...but only for about 5 minutes then back to cold....all the flaps work when I change from over head....floor....defrost...etc but just cold air....is there a sensor somewhere underneath the glove box that I can replace and can someone maybe guide me to what I'm looking for or at as I explore this thing? I'm talking about the wiring I see underneath I'm not certain it's all climate control related and I don't want to screw anything up more than it is.....Thanks.
