I have owned a 2006 Armada for 8 years now. And really have never checked into why my LE, leather, NAV etc etc Armada didn't come with a center head rest in the 3rd row. There's a seat belt. But no head rest.
Considering how unsafe this is, I would like to be able to add one for the odd time when a kid needs a ride to a hockey game. I understand this likely will need a seat swap. Was a version of the Armada available in 2006 that had a center head rest? What other years came with 3rd row center head rests that I can grab the seat from?
Is an aftermarket DOT approved headrest modification available? Perhaps the seat is not able to support, structurally, a head rest in this location, but if anything is known about what is available, please let me know.
