Ok guys, i need some input on my suspension dilemma.
I have sifted through hundreds of post and still cant figure out the best solution.
The vehicle in question is our new to us 2010 Armada 4x4 with tow package. However, the only thing we'd ever tow is our 2000# capacity 4x6 trailer maybe 4-5 times be year max!
Below are my observations:
-The rear suspension currently sags a bit and is 2" lower than the front
-The compressor runs for a few minutes are startup, then shuts off.
-The entire time it runs, you can hear air pissing out the front area of the compressor. Upon crawing under the truck, it appears the relieve valve is either stuck open while its running, so the bags never lift.
-Playing with the ride height sensor seems to have no affect after the compressor runs during startup. Once it completes its "cycle", it will not pump againt until i restart the truck.
-I do need to double check if the right height sensor is properly set up, as i did read some were installed incorrectly from the factory.
With all that being said, the truck has a 60 day warranty from the dealer we purchased it from.
Should I have the dealer fix the air suspension, or should i go forward and replace the air system with a gas spring setup with the heavy duty springs?
I am planning on replacing the front suspension as well because we are looking at doing a 2"-3" mini lift on the 'mada, so would it make more sense to just ditch the air and convert to gas when i replace suspension?
Thanks,
Frank
