Good morning everyone, and Happy New Year! I've been searching around the forums for a solution to my issue and I can't quite find anything that matches the situation I am having, so I'm hoping some of you fine ladies and gentlemen can point me in the right direction.
Vehicle Info:
* 2006 Nissan Armada 2WD
* Single owner
* 102,xxx miles
Issue:
While driving on the interstate, I had just come off of a merge ramp behind a semi going about 45MPH. I moved to the passing lane and accelerated. I got about 1/4 way around the semi and began to lose power and RPMs were dropping. I let off of the gas and then back on, but power continued to fail and RPMs continued to drop. At this point, a stall seemed inevitable, so I was luckily able to pull to the shoulder where the engine died while I was still rolling. I had to be towed back home.
There was not a Check Engine Light prior to or during the episode and I've never had any kind of issue with my truck.
I am able to start the truck and she will idle between 500-1000 RPMs, but it sometimes dips lower and stumbles a bit. One in a while it completely dies right after starting. I can rev the engine with no issues and no odd sounds. However, if I shift to drive and even try to coast, RPMs drop and the truck stalls. Interestingly, it doesn't seem to happen in reverse, though I've only moved a few feet that way. If I quickly shift back to neutral and bump the gas, I can keep it from dying.
The issue happens whether the car is cold or warmed up.
What I've done so far:
* Checked for any DTCs and found none.
* Swapped the ECM relay with fog light relay and that had no effect.
* Checked exhaust for pressure and it seems fine (checking for blocked cats)
* Lots of internet searching :)
Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I do not want to turn her over to the dealership to start randomly replacing things. Thanks, all!
