We closed on our brand new house 2 days ago.
I have attended a lot of home shows and seen some amazing garage floors done in epoxy. I fell in love with it and thought whenever I buy another house I will have that done to my garage. Well, over time I saw some garages with ceramic and others with porcelain tiles. Then I read a lot about having tiles or epoxy in the garage and I made up my mind I will like to install tiles in my garage.
Well, now with the brand new house, I had to save a lot before closing. And glad I could come up with the money. So, I met some great expensive porcelain tiles on clearance. I bought them and loaded the over 2000lbs of tiles in my Armada. Wow!!! That weight almost break the shocks on my Armada. I drove for an hour to pick up the tiles and drove an hour 20 mins back as I was being super careful on the freeway. The weight was controlling the car. At 70mph, I did not have control of the car. It goes the way it wants. So, I drove most of the way at 60mph, when speed limit was 65.
Was happy I made it home safely. The next day, I hired the guy who does tiles for all the new homes for our home builder. He did my tiles for me. It is all done now and I like it very much. I am waiting for it to dry very well and I will wash and wax it and take some show-room quality pictures.
I just wanted to share the look of the garage with you guys. Maybe it might encourage some people interested to do the same to their garages.
Pricey, but looks great. That is where my Armada would be parking and my wife's Altima. While my Maxima stays outside since its my daily driver.
