Clicking sound under dash

HVAC issue, when changing modes from defrost to face to feet to combination, etc, clicking sound under dash. I believe this would be caused by my mode door actuator. Heat vs cold temp changes work fine without clicking, it is only when I change modes. Sound appears to be coming from the actuator above the gas pedal but I'm not 100% sure. Reading online, posts talk about mode door actuator being above gas pedal, others say behind glove box and I was just at a Nissan dealer and the mechanic told me it is behind the dash in the middle and that I would need to remove the dash. 2006 Nissan Armada.

Can someone help me understand if I have troubleshoot the problem correctly to be the mode door actuator? Second question, which actuator is the mode door actuator.
