Hello while attempting to replace the serpentine belt yesterday I broke the nozzle off of the radiator overflow. This is the little nozzle which is located just underneath the cap. It broke off flush with the neck and Ive attempted to fix it using some loctite extreme conditions glue. No word yet on whether or not this will work as I wont be trying until tomorrow morning. Im hoping that this will hold me over until possibly this weekend when the replacement comes in. Instead of going with the denso which is an exact oem replacement that costs like 300-400 less than the genuine nissan radiator Ive elected to use an aftermarket High performance version which supposedly will keep things 35% cooler as it has two rows for cooling versus one on the stock. It is also solid 6061 aircraft grade aluminum which is tig welded at all seams. I found it on ebay after being discouraged on the infiniti/nissan parts sites which were listing the oem replacement for over 500. This one here looked much more superior and was half that. The seller does guarantee exact fit and 100% money back return if not satisfied so that sealed the deal. My question is has anyone else had any experience with upgrading theirs?
*Update* Just went out to check the temporary fix and after clipping the hose onto nozzle piece it broke off completely. Anybody know of a temporary fix to get me back and forth for the next week or so until part comes in? I figured the glue would bond with the plastic but not at all. It was like it was silicone or something. Do i need contact cement or pvc glue next? Loctite peeled right of after setting 24+ hours
