Hey guys!
So, while we were camping this past week for spring break, it got warm enough to turn on the air conditioning--never got cold. It had a little difficulty with the air diverters clicking (separate issue, looking into fixing it. . .) but even then it should have at least been blowing cold, and it wasn't.
We were in Mineral Wells and I took it to a shop hoping they could hook it up, fill it, and away I'd go. It passed the leak detection machine, but was virtually empty of freon (only 0.17 lbs evacuated.) After injecting the leak dye and filling with 2.38 lbs, all was good and away I went!
Later yesterday, after the procedure, we noticed green dye leaking out of the rear a/c lines coming out of the rear condenser (or whatever's back there.) I read some threads about people experiencing leaking lines that required body-off-frame surgery to fix, but this one should be easier in that regard. I guess I'll look into it, but if it's something like the condenser is that a DIY item or am I looking at a shop taking care of it as my only option? Thanks!
PS--if you're ever in Mineral Wells, Texas and need a shop, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cross Tire. They were great and no run-around!
