Just put the third set (including the originals) tires on the Mada. I put a set of Hankook Dynapro ATM's on. I'm impressed so far for the price paid, about $900 for a set of 5.
Which brings me to the point, how many of you replace your spare when it is about to expire?
I learned the hard way, or rather my son did with my 91 4Runner when he put an almost 20 year old spare on that looked brand new. Long and short of it, tire delaminated at the tread almost causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Right front, bent fender and tore through a wiring harness disabling the vehicle. Since then (about 4 years ago) I've learned that tires have an expiration date. They are good for about 5 to 7 years, after that it is best to discard them. Discount tire WILL NOT service your tires except to change them out after they are 7 years old.
Curious what y'all do?
