Hello all!

Just joined the site, though I've been on here several times in the past.

I bought my '10 Aramada Titanium 4WD used, back in May of 2011 with roughly 19k miles on it. Before that I was driving an Accord, which while not a bad car, was not neccessarily equiped for my growing family. We started looking for a truck or an SUV, that we could get myself and the kids in, when my wife was pregnant with our second. Seems like an easy task, except that I'm roughly 6' 7", and most cars won't fit a rear-facing car seat in the back seat, and still allow me to ride comfortably. Tahoes, Suburbans, Expeditions, etc., I test drove all of them, and took a car seat with me when I did. They all had the same result: I was cramped around the steering wheel in order to fit the car seat. Then I went on a trip with a friend, who had a Titan truck. I rode in the back seat, behind him driving. When I got in, I told him he could move the seat back, as I had plenty of room. He told me the seat was all the way back, and I was amazed. When I got back from the trip, I told my wife we were going to look at the Nissans. Sure enough, I could fit a car seat back there just fine, and still have plenty of room up front.

That narrowed our search down real quick, and soon enough, we found my current Armada, at the right price, and with everything we wanted on it. I absolutely love my Armada, and will probably buy another when the time comes. My only complaint is the gas mileage, but hey, that comes with the territory. Plus, I've never seen a Prius pull a call hauler trailer, or a 26' Pontoon boat like my Armada has. Not only that, but you can't put a price on being comfortable in your car, and for a big guy like me, there aren't a lot of options out there.

So far, I haven't done much in the modifications area, other than installing a Louisville Cardinal liscense plate on the front (Go Cards!), and installing some DVD players in the headrests for the kids, for those long car trips. Other than that, I put in a K&N filter, which I do on all of my cars. Eventually I'd like to do some more things to it, like an exhaust, maybe an air intake, and some cosmetic upgrades on the outside, but I'll probably hold off on those things for a while, since having two kids and a car payment isn't cheap.

I already made one post in the problems section, which is what brought me back to the site, but I've also been browsing around alot of the other forums. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on here, and it seems like a great site to get information from. Looks like I'll have a new site to occupy my time, and encourage me to spend my money on my Armada!!

Cheers!
