Question about removing tail lamp assembly?

I wanted to see if my vled LED bulbs would look nice in the reverse lights.... so I popped the trunk, remove the top and bottom bolt on the left tail lamp. Next I slowly pulled the assembly but it kept getting stuck..

Do I pull the assembly from right to left or pull the whole assembly out towards me?
